Do I need to hire a professional window cleaner or can I do it myself?

Hiring professional window cleaners can help you save on time and money in the long run by keeping your windows in the best condition. We are trained to clean your windows safely and use the proper equipment for each job. We also have the experience and tools to clean hard to reach areas, so leave it to the professionals!

Is a professional window cleaning service better than typical “maid” service?
An emphatic yes! Maids and standard cleaning services do not use the proper equipment for window cleaning. They usually rely on using Windex or another chemical with a cloth to wipe down the glass. This method often leaves streaks and fogginess on glass. What is worse, it could leave chemical residue on the glass which leads to permanent glass staining due to sun exposure. At Cleen ‘N Cleer Window Cleaning we use professional tools that are the most effective to clean your windows. Our products are also biodegradable and leave your glass clean and clear.
Should I have both the interior and exterior side of the windows cleaned at the same time?

We recommend cleaning both the interior and exterior of your windows. A smear or smudge on the interior can affect the overall appearance of your windows. You will be amazed what a difference it makes to clean both sides!

Do you only clean windows?
Besides interior and exterior windows, frames and sill, we also do blind cleaning, hot water pressure washing, hard water stain removal, awning and façade cleaning.
Do you have standard pricing for a typical residence?

Every residence is unique so it’s difficult to give a standard price. However, we do have a minimum for residential window cleaning.

  • Minimum for exterior only is $165+HST.
  • Minimum for Interior/exterior is $250+HST.

We are happy to provide a free estimate once we determine the type of cleaning and frequency you need.

Does It Really Matter If My Window Cleaner Is Insured?
Yes. Many window cleaners are not fully insured and state it is not necessary. However, you are responsible for anyone working on your premises whether Commercial or Residential. Should someone be injured you can be held liable for their injuries if they are not insured. It is also the law that any employee must be covered by WSIB. For your peace of mind, we are fully covered.
My windows look foggy or there is moisture built up between the panes. Can that be removed?
Unfortunately if it is between your factory sealed, double-pane windows, there is nothing we can do. You will most likely have to replace the window.
Does the weather affect the window cleaning service?
We work throughout the year even during winter. Rain is not what typically dirties your windows. If it’s raining, most stores have an overhang that enables us to continue working. In typical light rain, we can work through it.
Do you charge extra for hard water stain removal?
Yes. This is more labour intensive requiring more time than with your typical dirt found on glass. It requires chemical use and depending on the severity it could require acid wash removal.
What form of payments are accepted?

We accept cash, cheques, Mastercard, Visa and e-transfers.
